ON TEACHING

A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by Emily Wasserman, a Wash U grad and the current Communications and Event Specialist at The Teaching Center here on campus. We talked about a wide range of topics, including the question of how I use technology in the classroom. If you’re interested, you can check out the interview (and find other interviews in their fabulous “Faculty Spotlight” series) here. Thanks to Emily and everyone at The Teaching Center for the opportunity to talk about pedagogy!

ON THE SUMMER 2017 AND SUMMER 2018 HUMANITIES DIGITAL WORKSHOP

I've been working on a digital edition of Hope Mirrlees's "Paris: A Poem" with a small team of Washington University students and staff. In Summer 2017, my collaborators included Jaleen Grove and Anna Preus, with Keeghan Hughes, Doug Knox, Anwesha Kundu, and Steve Pentecost making valuable contributions and suggestions. I'm looking forward to a possible launch after this year's summer workshop! Many thanks to the Humanities Digital Workshop at Washington University for continued support of this project.

On the Spring 2014 Vertical Seminar in Digital Humanities

This spring, I'm back on the other side of the classroom as a student in Joe Loewenstein's Mellon Vertical Seminar in Digital Humanities. Every week, an interdisciplinary group of faculty, postdocs, and grad students join several members of Wash U's Humanities Digital Workshop to explore recent publications, issues, methods, and tools. We meet as a seminar on Mondays, and we reconvene as a workshop on Fridays. It's been great fun so far, and the public syllabus may be found here:
